Content Description The Victor Shaw Jr. Papers consist primarily of letters written by U.S. Army officer Victor Shaw Jr., a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, while he was deployed overseas during World War II. The first letter was written in October 1944 while Shaw was still Stateside preparing to depart and conclude just before his return in June 1945.
