The bulk of the College Catalog Collection contains catalogs from institutions located in Charlotte, North Carolina: Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), Charlotte College, Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU), Queens College (now Queens University), and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). Catalogs contain information on the academic calendar, degree programs, courses offered, staff and faculty, student activities, facilities, policies, and other information relating to each college. The Trinity College series contains a single issue of the Trinity Archive, which was a monthly magazine published by the senior class of Trinity College – now Duke University.

This collection includes the final academic year (1964-1965) of Charlotte College, which was a 2-year junior college that was originally located in the Central High School near Charlotte’s city center, as well as the first academic year after reorganizing as the newly formed UNCC in 1965.

Abstract

The College Catalog Collection contains catalogs from the following institutions located in Charlotte, North Carolina: the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), Charlotte College (now UNCC), Johnson C. Smith University (JCSU), and Queens College (now Queens University). Charlotte College was a 2-year junior college that was originally located in the Central High School near Charlotte’s city center before reorganizing as part of the UNC system in 1965. Most items in the collection span from 1961 to 1983. The collection also contains a single issue of the Trinity Archive from March 1903; this was a student bulletin published by the senior class of Trinity College (now Duke University).
