The family Bible was given to Lester Alexander Puckett (Puckett's Meats) and Alice Goodrum Puckett by Dianne Leslie Hood's (donor) grandpaternts, Raymond V. Hood, Sr. and Paulina Jane Puckett. Lester Puckett was the son of Violet Davidson Alexander (great-granddaughter of John McKnitt Alexander) and James Puckett.
The earliest birth recorded in the Hood family Bible is Lester Puckett born May 22, 1869.
